The US EPA has recognized Kevin Djang of Inoventures LLC's and his team at GDIT for their efforts supporting the US EPA's VELMA
project during the 2018 contract year.
VELMA is a spatially explicit, coupled hydrologic and plant/chemistry model.
Embodied as a simulator application, the model is used by the EPA and
EPA clients as a decision support tool for evaluating
water resources and ecosystem service co-benefits.
The VELMA development group is relatively small: Inoventures on-site
personnel provide most of the software implementation, unit testing,
and configuration management, for the simulator, and for its
associated utility tools. Inoventures also contributes to some
aspects of the simulator's software design.
